President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and fellow Leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) convene for the 28th ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Summit at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) in Malaysia on October 27, 2025.
Along with Leaders from the People’s Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea, the Summit reviews the progress made under the APT cooperation framework and discusses its future direction. It also highlights key areas for discussion such as the digital economy, maritime cooperation, energy, connectivity, health and education.
The Leaders exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Furthermore, the Summit includes guests from the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) and the East Asia Business Council (EABC) to discuss the Region’s macroeconomic and financial outlook, as well as regional economic growth.
