A powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines on Friday morning, triggering tsunami alerts and forcing evacuations along coastal areas. The quake hit offshore waters near Manay town in Davao Oriental at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center warned of waves up to three meters in the Philippines and one meter in Indonesia and Palau. President Marcos ordered emergency evacuations, while Indonesian authorities reported no immediate damage. Aftershocks ranging from 2.6 to 4.9 followed the initial tremor. This quake comes just two weeks after a deadly 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Cebu that killed 72 people. Watch
