7.6 magnitude earthquake rocks the Philippines

    An earthquake of magnitude 7.6 struck offshore in the southern Philippines, the country’s seismology agency said. Tsunami warnings – which were later lifted – were issued in several countries and people in nearby coastal areas were urged to move to higher ground. Eyewitness video showed people gathered on a road, toppled cabinets in an office, and a mast on building roof shaking
