A quiet week of work, travel, and small routines.
On Sunday, I had dinner alone in a Japanese restaurant — the first weekend without my three cats, The Boys. They were with their pet sitter while I was away for work, and the apartment felt emptier than usual. The silence at home felt heavier than I expected.
The week took me out of town for meetings, long days, and quiet nights in a hotel room. By Thursday, I was back in Manila — tired but grateful — and finally reunited with The Boys, who fell asleep almost instantly once we got home.
The rest of the week was slower. Friday’s meetings ended with drinks at The Manila Hotel. Saturday was spent doing laundry, grocery shopping at Mitsukoshi, and making miso-based vegetable soup to end the day.
