At least two people have died, and one million people evacuated as Super Typhoon Fung-wong made landfall in the Philippines on Sunday.

Videos posted on social media show the deadly storm battering the nation with winds of up to 230kmph, torrential rain, and dangerous storm surges.

Authorities said the storm, known locally as Uwan, is expected to head towards Taiwan.

It was the 21st storm this year to hit the country and comes less than a week after Typhoon Kalmaegi left more than 200 people dead.
