The Lakbayaw Festival of the City of Manila made a vibrant and unforgettable return this year.
Held on January 21, 2026, the celebration coincided with the feast day of Sto. Niño in Tondo, drawing crowds with its energy, devotion, and cultural pride.
Lakbayaw, derived from the Tagalog words “lakbay” (travel) and “sayaw” (dance), is a dynamic expression of faith and movement in honor of the Santo Niño. Represented by Pinas Olodum & B-Force, the festival showcased powerful, high-energy performances that truly captivated the audience.
The event beautifully highlighted Manila’s rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted traditions. Adding to the buzz was a local group from Tondo, Willie’s Gym, whose bold, shirtless dance performances became a standout moment during the parade.
