The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, chaired by Panfilo Lacson, resumed its investigation into alleged irregularities in flood control projects on January 19 in Pasay City.
Dubbed with explosive agenda titles like “Flooded Gates of Corruption,” “Flooded Gates of Hell,” and “The Philippines Under Water,” the hearing marked the committee’s first for the year. Five new witnesses came forward, including three who spoke under anonymity.
However, the hearing was rocked by the absence of former representative Elizaldy Co and his supposed former security detail, who failed to appear despite summons.
