Why Bam Aquino wants Senate to proceed with Sara Duterte impeachment trial | ABS-CBN News

Senator Bam Aquino on Friday (July 25) said the Senate should proceed with the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte despite the Supreme Court’s ruling that declared the House’s articles of impeachment unconstitutional.

Aquino noted that since the Senate has already convened as an impeachment court, ‘co-equal branches of the government may no longer intervene’ with its proceedings.
