‘AKO PO ANG LEHITIMONG LIGA PRESIDENT NG MAYNILA’
Dr. Lei Lacuna, the elected Liga ng mga Barangay President of Manila, maintains she is the legitimate incumbent after being replaced in a swearing-in ceremony conducted by Mayor Isko.
Her legal counsel, Atty. Michelle Africa, emphasized that Lacuna’s election was recognized by the National Liga and governed by its own constitution, making the mayor’s action unauthorized.
Claiming the process was rushed and part of a larger scheme, they filed a petition with the RTC seeking a status quo ante order to nullify acts they consider illegal and beyond authority.
