Dateline Philippines: The custom’s bureau launching it’s own probe into flood control project contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya who showed-off their luxury car collection in past interviews with broadcaster Korina Sanchez and Julius Babao.
BOC Assistant Commissioner and spokesperson Atty. Vincent Philip Maronilla discusses the initial steps the agency will take, including coordinating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to verify the vehicles’ importation documents and determine if correct duties and taxes were paid. Maronilla states that the sheer number of luxury vehicles owned by the couple is a “red flag” for the agency.
