Emergency as OVP's Acosta becomes 'unresponsive,' prompting Sara Duterte to leave House probe

Another official from the Office of the Vice President (OVP) was rushed to the hospital on Monday (November 25) after appearing to fall ill during a House panel’s probe into their funds utilization.

OVP Special Disbursing Officer Gina Acosta was brought out from the session hall in a wheelchair, with Vice President Sara Duterte accompanying her staff member.

“Ms. Gina is currently unresponsive for now so House Medical Director Luis Bautista declared it an emergency,” Atty. Leandro Resurreccion IV of OVP Legal said, explaining Acosta’s early exit.
