Intramuros Riverpark Esplanade
Intramuros Riverside Park appears to be part of a larger development along the Pasig River in Manila, specifically within the historic walled city of Intramuros.
* Binondo–Intramuros Bridge: This bridge connects Binondo to Solana Street and Riverside Drive in Intramuros. A “linear riverside park” gifted by China was ceremonially opened in January 2023, complementing this bridge and serving as a place for leisure and recreation.
* Pasig River Esplanade / Intramuros Riverside Esplanade: This is a significant ongoing project, part of the “Pasig Bigyang Buhay Muli” initiative, aiming to transform the Pasig River into a vibrant urban space.
* Phase 1C (at Plaza Mexico and Magallanes Drive in Intramuros) is completed and features commercial spaces, walkways, bike lanes, and viewing decks with river panoramas. It’s designed with sustainability in mind.
* Phase 2 is underway, which includes the construction of a new Riverside Park and Esplanade.
* Phase 3 (Fort Santiago Riverwalk) was inaugurated in February 2025, connecting Fort Santiago to the Pasig River Esplanade, providing a scenic link and boosting tourism.
* Phase 4 with a budget of P200 million is aready ongoing construction.
The food market at Pasig River Esplanade Intramuros is now a popular hotspot for foodies with many selection of food outlets.
