Massive 7.4 M earthquake strikes Philippines! Tsunami warning, buildings destroyed in Davao

A magnitude-7.4 earthquake has struck the Mindanao region in the Philippines, sparking a tsunami warning for potentially hazardous waves, according to seismology authorities. The quake struck off the eastern side of Mindanao island, some 123 kilometers (79 miles) from the island’s capital Davao, at a depth of 58.1 kilometers (36 miles), according to USGS.

In Manay, Davao Oriental, people ran out of a gymnasium when the quake struck during the Kanduli Festival celebration. In General Santos City, hanging lamps and electric posts were seen swaying due to the quake. More photos have dropped of scenes from Davao City right after the quake.
