Headstart: Ex-NEDA chief Winnie Monsod said on Wednesday, November 19, that she does not want President Bongbong Marcos impeached, adding that the Chief Executive can still do a lot before he steps down in 2028.
Speaking to ANC’s Headstart, Monsod said she was not surprised by Sen. Imee Marcos’ claim that her younger brother, President Marcos, used drugs, saying ex-President Duterte already made the claim several times.
“Since time immemorial…For heaven’s sake, what Imee said in public is something we have known in private…Imee was complicit in electing her brother,” she said. She clarified, however, that she does not know if the President is an addict.
She also said Marcos should stay as President instead of being impeached and replaced by Vice-President Sara Duterte.
“Diyos ko po naman…Let us not go from the frying pan to the fire. Let us just get this done. Whatever we do at this point and the President can do a lot at this point,” she said.
“President Marcos is our President. I don’t want him impeached…Let him continue until 2028. He has done some good. I certainly don’t want any of his relatives reelected. I hope that the people realize that this bunch of people should not be reelected.”
