Have you heard of the new Manila Airport? It’s not just a new terminal; but a brand-new airport, built from a reclaimed land, part of the envisioned 12,000 hectares of aerotropolis that features residential zones, commercial districts, government centers, a seaport, and an industrial zone in Bulacan north of Manila.
This world class infrastructure will feature four parallel runways, a world-class terminal, and an infrastructure network such as expressways and railway line connections, comparable to the modern airport in the world. It’s a symbol of modernization and progress for the Philippines. But what exactly makes this airport so special? Find out in this video!

The New Manila International Airport reclamation project is progressing, with land development reportedly at or near completion. Construction of the airport terminals is scheduled to begin in January 2026, with the goal of partial operations beginning in late 2028.
The first phase is scheduled to begin construction next year will include two runways, a modern terminal, and key facilities designed to serve up to 35 million passengers annually, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
Manila’s 2nd airport is no joke. Just look at this June 2025 drone shot — what was once open water, some heavily silted parts and mangroves in Manila Bay is now a massive, levelled expanse getting its final land prep touches before tonnes of reinforcement steel bars and concrete are brought in.
