MAYNILA — Nasabat ng NBI ang mahigit tatlong daang milyong piso halaga ng mga pekeng alahas at bag mula sa apat na establisimyento sa Binondo, Maynila.
Sinalakay ng mga operatiba ng NBI Intellectual property rights division ang ilang mga stall sa Baclaran Paranaque matapos mabisto na nagbebenta umano ng mga pekeng produkto ng isang luxury brand.
Nauna rito, nagsumbong sa NBI ang kumpanya ng mamahaling mga jewelry at bag na Louis Vuitton dahil may mga produkto silang galing China ang binibenta sa Baclaran.
Ang totoong presyo ng Louis Vuitton items kabilang na ang alahas ay di bababa sa P100,000, pero ang benta sa mga stalls ng mga pekeng alahas ay nagkakahalagang P500 lamang.
Ayon sa NBI, ang mga malalaking kumpanya ay mga major investors ng Pilipinas na nagpapasok ng malaking tax sa bansa at nakakatulong aniya sa ekonomiya.
Naka ilang beses na rin nagsumbong ang kumpanya sa NBI kaugnay nito, kung saan itong huling raid ang isa sa may pinakamalaking value ng napekeng mga produkto nila na aabot sa halagang P342-million.
Kakasuhan sa paglabag sa Section 155 paragraph 1 at section 1 of 170 RA 8293 o paglabag sa Intellectual Property code of the Philippines ang apat na may ari umano ng stalls.
