Aiza Lopez, 36, a vendor at Colon Night Market in Cebu, describes the panic that erupted after a 6.9 magnitude quake rocked the province on Sept. 30, 2025.
‘It was sudden. People who were dining at the stalls started panicking,’ she said.
Lopez added that one diner was injured when debris from a nearby building fell onto the stall’s tent.
The earthquake struck 17 kilometers northeast of Bogo City, Cebu, at 9:59 p.m., at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
