MANILA, Philippines — The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on Thursday resumed its investigation into the flood control projects in the Philippines.
Committee Chairman Sen. Panfilo Lacson said retired DPWH Usec. Roberto Bernardo is expected to face the probe after his name was mentioned in previous hearings linking him to several anomalous flood control projects. Bernardo, former undersecretary for operations, already submitted his prepared affidavit to the committee, according to Lacson.
Also expected to face the committee today are former DPWH engineers Brice Hernandez and Henry Alcantara as well as flood control project contractors, including Curlee and Sarah Discaya.
This is the 6th hearing on the flood control projects and the 3rd to be presided over by Senator Lacson.
