When asked about individuals who went on stage at the People Power Monument calling for President Marcos to resign, DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla said the government is investigating some of the remarks made during the event. He noted that aside from resignation calls, there were appeals for the AFP to “break away,” which he described as statements that “have no place in a civil society.”

Remulla stressed that while freedom of expression is protected, it comes with responsibility, and inciting sedition is considered a danger to the state. He added that due process will determine accountability.
