House Speaker Martin Romualdez demanded accountability from Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday, November 25, following her statements claiming that she has hired an assassin to kill Romualdez, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos should a plot against her succeed.
In a speech during Monday’s session of the House of Representatives, Romualdez called Duterte’s statements “alarming and unprecedented,” as well as a direct threat to the country’s democracy.
