Vice President Sara Duterte once told Sen. Imee Marcos that she would exhume the remains of her father and throw them into the West Philippine Sea.
Duterte candidly revealed this in her October 18 press conference, when asked about her own father’s decision to bury the remains of Ferdinand Marcos, Sr. at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani in 2016.
Seen as close allies with the Marcoses during the presidency of Rodrigo Duterte, his vice president-daughter now finds herself at odds with the incumbent president, Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
The younger Duterte said: “Isang beses, sinabihan ko talaga si Senator Imee: ‘Kung hindi kayo tumigil, huhukayin ko ‘yang tatay ninyo, itatapon ko siya sa West Philippine Sea.'”
