TIANGCO: IMPEACHMENT LINKED TO FLR PUSH
Navotas Lone District Rep. Toby Tiangco alleged that some lawmakers used President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s political capital during the 19th Congress to push for the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte in 2025, aiming to secure their Funding Line Releases (FLRs) from the national budget.
Speaking with Nani Braganza, Tiangco said his suspicions were confirmed when congressional contacts admitted they pressured the President to release FLRs, arguing that promises had been made to those who signed the impeachment—despite the timeline making little practical sense.
