Thousands of Filipinos gathered at the People Power Monument in Manila on September 21 to join the “Trillion Peso March”, a protest against alleged government corruption.
Drone footage released by progressive political party Akbayan shows crowds filling the streets surrounding the monument.
Citing event organizers, local news outlet ABS CBN said the demonstration received its name after allegations that the government lost trillions of pesos due to corruption.
