Hi, I am Merry Jane, I’ve been toying with the idea that Marijuana becomes legal globally.
In many states in the United States of America, marijuana is already legal in the year 2022.
Marijuana being legal, means many things. In Colorado, which is the pioneer of recreational legalization in the USA, adults can carry up to an ounce of weed and grow up to six mature plants.
News reports show that during the last six years, Colorado has collected $1.6 billion in marijuana taxes and fees revenues; in Oregon, where recreational marijuana is legal, the state cannabis revenue amounted to $102 million for the fiscal year 2019 alone.
What if President Bongbong Marcos legalizes marijuana to boost tourism income in the Philippines?
If we consider America’s example, then, statistics has justified it. At the present exchange rate, the Oregon experience means almost 6 billion pesos in cannabis taxes for one year alone!
